Table tennis champion Traute Kleinova was a member of the Maccabi Club of Brno and the Czechoslovakian Corbillion Cup (World Championship) women’s teams of 1935 and 1936. In 1936, with partner Miloslav Hamer, she also won the World Mixed Doubles
title.
Deported by the Nazis in 1941, Kleinova survived both the Theresienstadt and Auschwitz World War II concentration camps and emigrated to the United States following the war.
