Sue Bird is one of only eleven women to achieve all four accolades: four WNBA championships (2004, 2010 and 2018) with the Seattle Storm; four Olympic gold medals (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016), two NCAA Championships with the University of Connecticut Huskies (2000, 2002), and four FIBA World Cups (2002, 2010, 2014, 2018). she is also a five-time EuroLeague Champion (2007-2010, 2013).
During her WNBA career, Bird has been selected to eleven WNBA All-Star teams and eight All-WNBA teams. Additionally, in 2011, she was voted to the WNBA Top 20@20 as one of the league's Top 20 Players of All Time.
Following her final year at UConn, Bird was recipient of the Naismith Award as "College Player of the Year" and was the Seattle Storm's #1 selection in the 2002 WNBA draft.
At the time of her IJSHOF election, Sue Bird is still an active player with the Storm.
