Kazak Olympic fencing champion Eduard Vinokurov won team gold medals in Sabre competition at the 1968 and 1976 Olympic Games, and a silver medal in 1972. He was also a member of the Soviet gold medal teams that captured five consecutive World Championships––1967, 69, 71, 73, 75.
