One of the world's top doubles players of his era, Andy Ram won three Grand Slam tournaments: Wimbledon (2006, mixed doubles with Vera Zonareva), French Open (2007, mixed doubles with Nathalie Dechy) and Australian Open (2008, doubles with his regular partner, fellow Israeli Jonathan Erlich). In 2008, Ram reached his highest doubles ranking of number 5 in the world.

Ram and his partners won 19 ATP doubles tournaments and were runners-up in another 18. Ram played in three Olympic Games (2004, 2008, 2012). He participated in every Davis Cup tournament between 2000 and 2014, compiling a doubles/singles record of 23 wins, 12 losses.
