Israel Women’s Lacrosse Wins Bronze at World Championships
(World Lacrosse) – Israel raced away from the Haudenosaunee in a 7-4 win to take the bronze medal at the Nissin Foods 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo on Sunday.

Israel claimed its first-ever medal at the women’s championship and posted its best finish in the event in its fourth appearance, previously finishing sixth twice.
The Haudenosaunee also secured their best finish in the championship in their fifth appearance, having finished as high as seventh in 2013.
Israel started hot to lead the Haudenosaunee 6-1 at halftime behind its trademark prowess on the draw control, winning five of the first seven draw controls. The Haudenosaunee made a late rally to cut the lead to three in the fourth quarter, but never could get closer to apply more pressure.
Sam Fisher stepped up for Israel with three goals to lead the attack and was named the player of the match, with four other players registering a goal each for the team.
